I don't know if you guys remember, but a while ago, I posted about a contest that Loud.com was having where the winner got $100,000 and a deal with SRC Records. Now, they're announcing the semi-finalists...the latest three announced are sorta dope (even tho they didn't pick my ass, haha). Peep:
1st place ($25,000): Drop (http://www.myspace.com/dropthugafella)...cat from North Carolina, sorta reminds me of TI with his drawl and delivery, but with a raspier voice...dude is sorta ill though, murdered "This 4Da," his redo of Big Shit Poppin, and this joint "Swang"
2nd place ($15,000): Dirty Rap (http://www.myspace.com/dirtyrap)...South Carolina, he's pretty dope too, don't know who to compare him to, but he's got a real clear, accessible flow...I like "I Gotcha Love" and "Broke Nigga" a lot...
3rd place ($10,000): The Franchise King (http://www.myspace.com/lovefranchise)...Boston...dude really embodies the whole east coast aura better than anyone I've seen in a while, and he doesn't make it contrived, it's really him...dude is ill though
