Technology Looking to buy a laptop

I have about $3,000 to spend. I want something with a pretty big screen. Im just using it for home, so I dont care about the weight or size really. I would prefer to have a cd burner and a dvd player. I onyl really need it to surf the net, burn cd's and watch movies. Thanks.

Go with sony or dell. Anything else is total crap and it wont last long. I would prefer a desktop media pc if you got 3 g's to spend you could get a bad ass setup. Laptops always have problems, trust me. My 2 pennys.

For 3 g's you can burn DVDs and have a built in TV tuner.
