I'm not even a fan of Liverpool and haven't watched a football game in years now, but I don't think any sport will be able to ever come close to football and how watching a major game feels like. These were some of the most intense and incredible memories of my childhood. The way people bond during major championships is unlike anything else indeed. It's like the entire world is just living it and nothing else matters. This video nicely shows those vibes.

If you want to see a really intense atmosphere, you should go to a Villa v Blues derby or the Old Firm derby. Nothing else comes close to those... and many of the 'top' sides now have dead atmospheres compared to before, especially the ones that have moved to new stadiums.
