That is kinda bullshit in my opinion, champions league places are given to teams who've been consistant through-out the entire season and finish strongly in their respected leagues. Liverpool regardless of their win, have had a very inconsistant year. The same rules should apply regardless of what they accomplished in the champions league itself.

I wonder how Real Zaragoza feel..After they were made to compete in the UEFA Cup when they finished 4th and Real Madrid were given their CL spot because they won the CL..

Well if the Champion's League is supposed to be a tournament of the best clubs in Europe, surely the winner of the tournament is, by definition, the best club in Europe and entitled to compete in the competition again? It is the Champion's League, after all.
