Little Brother for those who don't know em yet...

Somewhere between the jazzy, feel-good grooves of A Tribe Called Quest and the yin-yang chemistry of Outkast lies Little Brother.
The Durham, NC trio make music that brilliantly splits the line between art and commercialism, all while maintaining their fun-loving hip-hop purist stance.

The group's members; MC's Phonte and Big Pooh, along with DJ/producer 9th Wonder met in 1998 while attending North Carolina Central University. After noticing that they shared some of the same musical tastes (The Roots, Led Zeppelin, Wes Montgomery), the fellas formed an instant friendship and vowed to help each other develop their careers.
9th wonder worked with Jay-z,Destiny's Child, made remix albums of The black album and Stillmatic and got a lot of props for doing that...!

check Little Brother out!

Good to see someone promoting good music. I've threw Little Brother around these forums here and there, but for the most part people ignore it. This is one of my favorite groups, if not THE favorite group at the moment. 9th Wonder is obviously a beast and he does his shit nicely. Phonte is an ill ass emcee and although Big Pooh isn't as great as Phonte imo, he doesn't make their music any less enjoyable. Infact, his album is dope as hell (espically the song "Now" with Murs!). One hell of a group and i'd recommend them without a doubt.

Here are a few reccomendations... Light It Up, Downtime, Gotta Get Dat, Whatever You Say (9th Wonder Midnight Remix), Altitudes, Nighttime Maneuvers, Take It There. :thumb:
