According to Billboard, Lil Wayne was nominated for "Favorite Rap Male Artist," "Artist of the Year" and "Favorite Rap Album" (Tha Carter III).
Wayne will be contending for "Favorite Rap Album" against Jay-Z (American Gangster) and Kanye West (Graduation).

The 2008 American Music Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC on November 23 from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.
