A reputed Brooklyn drug dealer who authorities claim was Lil Kim's former boyfriend will be facing the death penalty for allegedly ordering a hit on a rival which also left an innocent bystander dead.

According to The New York Daily News, 33-year-old Damion "World" Hardy, the leader of a drug gang called Cash Money Brothers, is accused of ordering Eric (E-Bay) Moore to kill Ivory Davis on August 10th 2000.

Moore shot twice at Davis while he was inside his car outside Brooklyn’s Club NV. Davis would speed off and would slam into Swedish filmmaker Johan Camitz who was strolling on Sixth Avenue.

Davis would die at the scene while Camitz died in a local hospital minutes later.

Hardy was indicted on murder charges in 2005 and faces the lethal injection if convicted.

New York authorities revealed to the Daily News that Hardy and Lil Kim had once lived together in the rapper’s mansion in New Jersey and were believed to be engaged.

The authorities also divulged that Hardy confronted 50 Cent at a New Jersey hotel parking lot in 2003 after the G-Unit honcho dissed Lil Kim on a radio station. The confrontation reportedly sparked a gunfight.

Hardy has also served time for shooting at narcotic cops.

David Ruhnke, Hardy's lawyer, says that his client became a devout Muslim after a pilgrimage in the Middle East and now goes by the name of Isa Ibn Jibril. He also revealed that Hardy is mentally ill.

Hardy was arrested at the JFK Airport after returning from his pilgrimage in 2004 and ranted during his first appearance in court.

“I am the Christ. I am the Messiah,” Hardy raged in court. “Do not be the one to go against the law. Adhere to the law's command before I give you warning. A day that is drawing near. A day of grief and regrets. Boiling water will be poured over your heads.”

A federal judge ordered Hardy to undergo a psychiatric examination last week to determine if he is competent to stand trial.

Ruhnke refused to discuss Lil Kim’s relationship with Hardy or if the rapper will take the stand during the trial.

Representatives for Lil Kim could not be reached for comment.
