it's been a long time since i heard or thought about this freestyle, but i do know that the line fromn get at me dog and is a diss to k-solo and not 2pac. as memory serves the freestyle was altered a little bit to make it sound like 2pac, though it wasn't. the beef between k-solo and dmx is chronicled on qd3's beef vol 2 (i think solo even took a lie detector test on it lol). from what i remember both artists were locked up at the prison and used to rhyme together. k-solo claimed that dmx stole his spelling style of delivery when they were released. anyway, until i hear the freestyle again i'm going to stick with the old thought that it was altered.

regardless, i think dmx is a vastly subpar rapper who would do anything for attention.

Look, the fact of the matter is that if another rapper was openly attacking my city like Pac attacked New York I'd throw shots their way too. Aint no mystery as to why these dudes dissed Pac, it dont make it personal, its just competition.
