The retail beat was altered a bit, the intro by E.D.I. was added, Pac's voice kind of echoes at the beginning of his two verses, some Outlawz verses were changed

The retail version is more refined, which might be why you like it better. I'm assuming that had the OG been given the same treatment but left alone in terms of lyrics and such, you'd probably like it more.

U could take the intro instrumental of LETTER 2 THE PRESIDENT from 2PAC RESURRECTION DVD and cut out the intro of EDI on the song, and replace.

and the og has a stronger bassline and is more loopy, kinda like what peeps have said already in here.

so he didnt wanna rerelease that verse or he wasnt allowed. kinda strange why would you wanna take out one of your verses from a pac song??

he used several verses from his og pac tracks on his first album. just got lazy writing i suppose. his letter verse for example really doesn't fit in the song he put it in on his album.

i'd just take a guess that it was done to keep the song from going over 6 minutes

they kept Syke's other verse on there so its not like he was given the Fatal treatment

Yea he reused verses from "play ya cards right" to "my closest roaddogs" , even reused some og pac beats like "Thug 4 life" and again "cloest rodd dogg". (i kno dante knows all this lol)

but ya maybe syke jus like the fact he wrote that shyt and rymed it with 2pac. Everytime some1 rapped with pac they would sound better then ussal.
