The name Last Crewsaders may conjure up the image of an archeologist wearing a funny hat but it actually refers to rappers, beatboxers and breakdancers. Last Crewsaders is a hip-hop collective from around the Dutch city Nijmegen. The collective has been working hard to put a mark on the map with its live performances all over the Netherlands since 2001.Their debut release, a CD/DVD package entitled "Never Dated", was released on the 11th of March 2006. This gave an extra boost to the popularity of one of Holland's most diligent hip-hop acts.The crew is made up of rappers, breakdancers, graffiti artists, beatboxers, dj's and producers. Last Crewsaders rap in English instead of in Dutch, making them an exception in their native country. Their music shows affinity with both underground and mainstream hiphop.The collective's industriousness has also gained attention from outside the music scene; the Crewsaders have been rewarded with a sponsorship deal with the up and coming Dutch street wear brand Rehall.
