My laptop keepz shutting down every couple hours. Does ne1 know why? The fan makes a louder noise..like its working hard..and it shuts down.

If it's making a loud noise, I would of thought somethings overheating what periods of time do you leave it on for?

When the laptop overheats, it shuts down to prevent physical damage.

I suggest you send it back to get the fan cleaned/fixed/replaced.

they maybe a lot of dust build up in the fan, open the case and have a look, if it is blow it all out and see what happens

i think it might be dust n etc...cuz ive never cleaned it out b4. and its straight from the outlet to the laptop..so not the battery prob.

and the fan just gets louder and it turns off. and i keep it on for like 8hrs at a time. unless it keeps shutting off..in that case..it doesnt stay on long.

so should i just git one of those compressed airs things?

My laptop does the same thing, I usually lift the end of my laptop to give the fans more air to breathe. Most likely for me the fans arent doing there job properly to keep my system going. No dust here.

mine was restartin gettin error messages on my pc, overheating, so i opened the case there was loads o dust build up i just took the fan off(what a bastard of a job to get it back on) gave it a good clean n it worked fine, ya can get motherboard monitor to monitor the temps http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=311

yea i aired the fans..but nuthing happend. i might have to open up the back and see whats wrong wit it. hope i can put dat shit back together.
