Knife Amnesty begins - do they work?

Do they think that they work? I am in two minds. Yeah people will hand them in as no one will know they have handed them in but is this really the way to get knives off the streets?

Wow--that almost sounds like something from The Onion...Too bad it's real.

Does this include scimitars? Or have those been exempted on religious grounds?

The authorities cannot crack down on criminal use, so they want those willing to abide by the law to crack down on themselves.

Europe...ripe for a takeover...yet again.

this works with guns but not with knifes, in my opinion.

I mean you see them whipping out huge knife's at these amnesty's but it dont mean a fuckin thing! A blade is a blade, i was once friend's with a guy who got stabbed in the heart with a penknife, the blade was only about 2 inches long!(Obviously he died)
