I keep it in the cupboard. It doesn't get moldy or turn brown if it's kept in the cupboard unless it takes you months to go through a bottle, in which case, buy a smaller bottle if you don't use alot. My kids eat ketchup on everything so I buy huge bottles and it has never gotten moldy or turned brown on me.
