Do any of you believe in it? And do you think you have ever expierenced it? Do you think if you cheat/lie/do anything bad and it won't come back to you?

Do you believe that there is a limit to how long karma can happen?

Do you believe that the worst possible karma is when your older and settled, thinking your life is stable and it rips your world apart, or when your young and confused and feeling the pain that may last you years down the line?

ya...i mos. def. beleive in it. Whenever something bad happens to me, i usually think back and ask myself: what in God's name did i do to deserve this shit? Then im like: oh..ya..Karma, you bitch.

Yes I believe in Karma. It comes after me everytime I do something good or bad.

I do believe there is no limit to when Karma will be in effect. You can do a good deed, but not see it's reward until 10 years after you've done it. It's also the same for doing a bad deed. God will give you reward and punish whenever he feels like it.

If you have a bad life when you're elderly, I think it is because you probably treated your parents badly when you were younger or because you didn't treat your kids right when you had them and that's why you [generally speaking] ended up in an old folks home and your kids left you after they grew up and got married and now no one wants anything to do with you.

This also doesn't mean that someone who has cancer is a bad person. You can't judge people from things that happen to them. You cannot say to yourself that since this person died young and peacfully that he was a good person and you can't say that if this person died old and painfully that he was a bad person either.

Lets just say, it all depends on the person and what he's done in his or her life. The good deeds are what matter most in a human's life, but it's not for us to decide weather a person is good or bad..

If everyone was nice and only did good most of the world's problems would be solved. So every time you're nice and you do something good you're part of the solution and every time you're an asshole or do something bad you're part of the problem. I guess in this way you can see it as karma if you do good and you get rewarded or if you do bad and get punished but an actual force that rewards and punishes? I think of it the same way as I think of God. It's possible but we'll never know in this lifetime so I can't say whether or not I believe in it. It's a pleasant thought but that's it for me.

I don't understand what you mean by this.

I mean do you think the worst possible karma is of the 2

one being your in your 40's, settled, married with kids and all seems like it will work itself out and you think everything will be alright and bam your wife says she is leaving you for someone else and taking the kids and the house and you pretty much have nothing OR your in your 20's been dating someone about a year and yes you fall for them hard and fast and you thought it was together forever but you break up...

Which is worse the one that hits you mid life and you have a much harder time picking up the pieces or the typical reaction of dating various people and just falling for the wrong person.

So basically its a concept of short term pain to long term pain if you can't figure it out.

So, am I the only one who doesn't believe in it?

"Do good things and good things will happen to you" is just what your parents told you so you'd shut the fuck up and stop drawing on the walls.

I see your point. Here's my take on it.

When you're having a really good day(hopefully you do), do you ever think to yourself, "What's going to happen that will fuck up my day?" Or if you're having a really bad day, "What's going to happen that will make my day better?" Well, if you don't, the reality is, it usually happens. The thing is, people don't recognize it as karma or whatever it is, they see it as an effect of something wrong that they did. For example, If you had sex with a really hot girl during the day and thought to yourself, "I'm the fucking shit", and then went to the bar at night and got drunk and got your ass pistol whipped and you ended up in the hospital, you'd think, "I knew I shouldn't have gone to the bar and got drunk around hostile people." But, it could be that it's this force that doesn't allow you to be happy all the time. :) That's how I feel and I found it to be true.

It may not apply to days, necessarily. This force I'm talking acts regardless of time. :)

For those of us who don't take full control over our fate, we let karma, or a subset of it, do the job for us.

I believe if you are a positive person MOST ppl will reciprocate that back to you...so I think karma and the expression "Do to others as you would have them do to you" and "Treat others how you want to be treated" all go hand in hand.

I don't believe someone is keeping track of all the bad things you do and you're going to get payback one day.

No i do not believe in karma. My best friend cheats on his girlfriends constantly, hooks up with anything that walks, keeps getting these available options, dumps his girlfriend and immediately is going out with a new girl and cheating on her as well. in the meantime his ex cries her heart out wondering what she did wrong and if they will ever get back together eventhough he cheated on her constantly and is rewarded with a new relationship and being the dumper. Please karma is bullshit.

if you want to talk about luck, yes i believe some people were blessed with luck maybe God likes them better or something because some people just seem to have it all while others cant get ahead no matter how hard they try.

he surely wont. what about people like paris hilton who are pieces of shit, vain, morons, and have the world handed to them on a silver platter. Wheres karma there?

Thing with karma is in your friends case CoolWaterz we can say Karma will get him, sure he's having the time of his life now but in the future when he's settled down fallen for a hot, intelligent girl she might just dump, cheat on him. I think people use karma to make themselves feel better about situations that piss them off, such as yours. I believe that when I live my life in a positive way, good things come to me that progress my life. When I am in a negative mood I dont generally push myself, or take steps I need to progress. So I guess in that way its karma, I just dont like fucking people over I left High School a long time ago and now I just tell people what I think, and if I dont like them I dont hang around them. As far as karma coming back to get you down the track, I think if you truely have changed and regret the bad things you have done it wont happen. If you still feel untouchable no doubt something will come along to ground you.
