Kanye West took home three Grammys from the 48th outing of the annual award show, but lost out on Best Album to Irish rockers U2.
The Chi-City rapper/producer equaled last years feat and displayed either his ego or sense of humor when he won best rap album for Late Registration.
"I had no idea, I had no idea," West said in mock shock as he pulled a huge sheet of paper that clearly read "Thank You List."
The Grammys won by Kanye on the night are as follows; Best Rap Solo Performance for "Gold Digger", Best Rap Album for Late Registration and Best Rap Song for "Diamonds From Sierra Leone".
