GOLIATH NATIONAL BANK!

Nice, my bank of choice when I'm in Canadia
I spent time in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. Wanted to do Bangladesh as well but I had to return to work.
I've heard of Bali and I think Gili Islands, not sure about Lombok. I hear that those places are really clean and the people there are pleasant (probably depends where you go though).
It's proven to be quite difficult getting into the Clinical field even though I've been volunteering since I was 16 (with mental health and vulnerable people) - it just doesn't stand out any more. I have had research placements and still volunteer with people that have Eating Disorders. I still apply for jobs when they are out but there aren't that many of them so I'm always looking out for opportunities and training courses to develop myself further.
I'm currently anAdmin and have been for over 2 years, but I'm now contemplating the option of pursuing something non-psychology related (as an alternative).
I haven't decided yet. I have 16 days and a ticket in and out of Bangkok. I haven't booked any hotels.
the people over there are extremely friendly. had no problems wherever I went.
wow... that really sucks after all the time and energy spent on it... but that is how the field is unfortunately.
so you were thinking banking? when you say admin, what do you mean?
unless I move to London - and I don't really want to work there.

Everyone wants to work in London...!![]()

I'll definitely consider South-East Asia but hoping to go to Milan first if everything works out.
The budgets on healthcare have been slashed significantly over here too, so it's not that easy but there's an open day coming up which I'll be attending to see more about a job I found in a hospital.
I'm currently an office administrator where I deal with payments to solicitors. Also do the IT work in the office, supporting up to 70 people and implement new systems etc. It's opened my eyes to how stupid people can be and how they can be so nice to you when they desperately need something... or how they call me for help and then go and chat to their friends while I'm sorting out their issue. But I get time allocated for my duties so I just claim however much time was spent. While I do enjoy the responsibilities I have and how important my work is within the finance department, it's not where I want to be long-term as there is no real opportunity to move up a grade or be promoted unless I move to London - and I don't really want to work there.

I met the girl of my dreams, last night. But I woke up this morning and realised it was purely a moment of alcoholic clouded judgement.
I felt the same about a bridesmaid at a wedding. Not "of my dreams" but I couldn't get her out of my head afterwards.
Turns out she was 30+, Muslim, and married.
Oh well.
