This is a theoretical questions that me and my mates have been discussing recently and i just want some input on what others think

Say a guy has known a girl for quite sometime. They go out occasionally and have fun, just as friends. The guy starts to develop feelings for her, should he put it all on the line?

We are assuming that they are not best friends, so a close friendship is not on the line.

Reason i'm asking: There's a situation a friend of mine is in, but is getting to different pieces of advice. one being that he should play the nice guy and become friends with her and hopefully she'll see him for the nice guy who he is
the other says to put it all on the line, since they know each other well enogh now. Find out before heading into the firnedship lane. Get it all out in the open and ease the pain for the guy.

I personally agree with the latter.

Nah. Friendships can always develop further.

A girl can fall for an ugly bloke by him gaining her friendship.

If she uses the "we're just good friends" line, then you're just too damn ugly.

It depends on the girl, but if I liked her a lot I'd stay friends until I'm pretty sure I've won her over.
