$200 for a fucking earring? haha, back in the day we would snatch any earring that we liked straight from the ear lol. Tear the whole thing off. Folks did that to me twice, but luckly the earring would come off in both cases & not tear up my ear. oh man the memories, we used to wear them BIG ass earring too, like the ones the prostitutes wear lol. I realised how stupid I looked when I went to Istanbul & the people were looking at me, as if they were planing a lynch.
Anyway, it's 2005, that shit plaid out in the 90's.

It's usually best to wait at least about 4 weeks that way the holes have time to heal. If you're planning on putting in some heavy rocks, you might wanna go ahead and wait the full 6 weeks. Small ones doesn't really matter. Like Synful said as long as the posts are real silver or gold and they're sterilized, it won't matter much when you change em. When I got my first set pierced I waited the full time. The second set I changed after about 3 weeks. The one I have at the top of my ear I had to wait like 2 months before I could change it. That shit took forever to heal.

Back when I did mine (when I was 18) it was common knowledge that you only had to wait 2 weeks. Honestly though, waiting longer couldn't hurt though. Whatever you do, don't rock fake ice, people look hella stupid when they do that. Just get what you can afford (reasonably) and keep it real. Don't be one of them fake pimps in the club with dime sized zirconia's in your ear lobes!!!

somehow i doubt you will have real diamonds in your ear anytime soon....asking a question like that here on the board as apposed to a real human being in person clearly indicates that...if you were serious about your question i don't think you would have asked that question here as a primary source
