Johnny J commits Suicide

Johnny J's being, his association with Tupac, someone that has had a huge impact on not only on his fans but the people he came into contact with in general, that is something that could put undue pressure on anyone from anyone. Johnny J is not the first person in Tupac's life who's life came to meet a tragic end, I bet there were people who had it in for JJ, he was responsible for 2Pac's AEOM album success after all, something to be proud of, but I bet it attracted him a lot of playa haterism. I wish this wasn't true, Johnny J is the man behind Tupac, artistically.

Its hard to imagine that we will never hear a new 'Pac and Johnny J collabo ever again. His death was not only a great loss to hip-hop/rap, but also to 'Pacs future legacy. He was part of a formula that was undeniably legendary. I just hope people dont forget him in a hurry.

I've written a tribute to Johnny and the time I spent with him in my blog.

Wtf I can't believe it. I'm literally in shock. He achieved so much and I just can't believe that it was a suicide. I had high hopes that he'll start producing great music again, it's such a loss especially considering that he was a nice guy.

Anyway I just came across this from Assassins profile:

Rip.

what's gonna happen to the 30 or so 2pac cuts JJ still had, won't his next of kin get possession or will it go to the state

Best way to commit suicide in jail - hang yourself with bed sheets

Best way to murder someone - throw them over a railing several stories up.

I'd rather die fast by hitting the ground than by choking. On the other hand both are terrible ways to die. Anyway are there any new informations? Did he write a letter or something telling why he decided to end his life? Was there some kind of investigation?
It's a sad story.

It wasn't suicide. The jail are trying to protect their staff.

Here's the information I have. This comes from a close mutual friend of mine and Johnny's who attended the funeral.

Basically, a Latino guard got all up in Johnnys face about why he made music with black people and not Latinos. As DP and others will tell you, this is big shit in California, ESPECIALLY when it comes to being in prison. So Johnny had gotten into an argument with this guard, and as a result the guard moved him OUT of protective custody (anyone with money or fame would be in protective custody)....and then I guess the word spread about what the argument was about to all the other Mexicans in the jail.............next thing you know Johnny winds up dead.

I thought there was something suspicious from the start. DP and I were talking and he mentioned that he heard there was a racial issue going on, and this was a week or so before I heard what I wrote from our mutual friend. Put that together with the fact that I (as someone that knew Johnny) don't think he would have killed himself, and all the clues point in one direction, folks.

couldn't JJ have just called his lawyer if he was having problems, surely someone with money has some kind of legal backing, even in the county jail
