I usually don't do this, but here's the first thread I am creating about a death. John Walton, one of the owners of Wal-Mart, has died in a plane crash today.
I couldn't believe the news and it was broken to me by Calcuo. I really don't know what else to say, and I can feel a tear coming. I never thought I'd shed a tear about a complete stranger, but the shock is there.
John Walton, oh man...
Ya'all know how I feel about Wal-Mart, and my undying love for it. Please be respectful in our times of mourning, and give us the opportunity to reflect on what happened. I wonder if I'll be able to go to work tomorrow.
I think everyone should send the family something nice, eventhough each member of the family is worth about $20 Billion, to let them know we care.
If you all needed addresses, ideas for what to send, etc., let me know.
Much love to Sam Walton, John Walton, the entire Walton family, and those that continue to support Wal-Mart.
