JFK's fascination with the Arthurian legend is pretty known. Now, JFK's reign as president has always been reffered to as the Camelot years. Why do you think that is? What connections can you make between JFK and the legend? Do you see any influence in his foreign and domestic policies? Now, forget that this is for a school paper and discuss. :)

Both strong, highly influential leaders at times of conflict in the world. Look at them both now, idolised, metaphors for power and how to direct that power.
Both had it off with Marrilyn Monroe, i think. :P

It was a happy metaphor for the country during an obviously turbulent period of time. The president was portrayed as a young, virulent leader with a beautiful wife and family, and he projected a sense of comfort and power.

Of course, we now know that, like Camelot, most of this was a total myth.
