I like Snooki, Mike The Situation and Sammi Sweetheart the best.....those three are the most entertaining.

I LOL'd when Vinny got pink-eye in Episode 2. Also it was shady as fuck when Ronny and Sammi hooked up even though Mike was digging on Sammi since the beginning. Mike had every reason to be mad at that.

I only watched the first two episodes so far, gonna watch the 3rd later.

Everybody talks about it. I feel as if I'm missing out on joke associations by not watching the show but I don't want to stoop to that level of entertainment.

^Yeah, I feel that.

I heard it's entertaining.
I just can't get myself to watch reality shows, period. I don't think I can have the patience to watch something like Jersey Shore.

Oh cmon Angelina isn't that bad. At least she's all natural baby lol, now Snookie is creepy.

I just have a thing for dark hair, eyes and women with meat on em (not too much tho) :)

Not that I don't like Blonds, or light colored eyes... the latter is just a preference.

I just watched episode 3, that was the one Keco was referring to where Angelina broke up with her boyfriend and didn't show up to work, she got kicked out of the house lol.

She is hot (and I know a girl who looks scarily like her, except Indian)....but she was annoying as hell. LOL at everyone trashing her after she left. It was annoying when Mike The Situation was up on the roof area with those girls and Angelina came up trying to cockblock him.....Mike was like "Why are you such a hater" ROFL.

WTF kinda names are that?
Guido/guidette names!

The whole cast is:

Mike "The Situation"
DJ Pauly D
Snooki
J-Wow
Ronnie
Vinny
Angelina aka "Jolie"
Sammi Sweetheart

I like Snooki. Yeah she's short and kinda crazy but she's cute and she seems way more genuine than Angelina....and less annoying.

MTV's Jersey Shore review : The New Yorker

Our ability to take any pleasure, or even interest, in shows like this—in which participants are depicted as energetic but essentially aimless, oblivious of their own deficits, and delusional about their attractiveness and their importance in the world—hinges not on our ability to identify with them but on our ability to distinguish ourselves from them. Unless the show manages to make us feel as though we were anthropologists secretly observing a new tribe through a break in the trees, it hasn’t done its job. MTV has succeeded on that score; it can give itself a pat on the back for enabling viewers to feel superior to at least eight other people.
lol.

I think people make too big a deal out of it. It's harmless lowbrow entertainment.

However, I think perhaps if I lived in NYC or Jersey, or somewhere where there is predominant Guido culture, I probably wouldn't be interested.

I don't really watch UK reality shows or soap operas because I have no interest in the banal lives of English people like the ones I see on the streets every day.

I've never been to new jersey or met any guidos or really know anything about them until I saw this show though....so it's kinda fascinating because of that. It's interesting because on some level these folks are like me in that they are young and go to clubs, and living in a beach house in the summer would be totally awesome....but aside from that their culture is like, completely alien to me.

Next they should make a show about you Serbs and Croats etc. You can go to Bosnia and dance to Techno music and shit.....I would totally watch that. LOL.

I'm sure there's a market for a show about desi youths who go to bhangra clubs as well lol....maybe I should get on the phone to MTV.

^Most Balkan countries have their own versions of popular reality TV shows, like Big Brother, for example. The shows have HUGE followings in Bosnia, Serbia, and Croatia. There's one about celebrities working on a farm and all this shit. I still don't watch them, though.
