January Transfer Window

Some interesting rumors...

Lyon want to get rid of Fred and Spurs want strikers and want to offload Giovanni Dos Santos...

Apparently the deal will be Dos Santos + cash for Fred.

Keane to Spurs apparently... He's pissed at Rafa.

According to The Sun, the Irishman boycotted Liverpool's FA Cup tie against Everton upon discovering he was not included in the matchday squad, with French teenager David N'Gog taking his place.
(super Frenchy name might I add.)

Also some cool news about keepers...

Newcastle signed a new 3-year deal with their reserve keeper, suggesting that Given might leave for City... Newcastle will then use that income to buy David James from Portsmouth who are planning on promoting their reserve young Bosnian-Canadian keeper Asmir Begovic.

LEAVE GIVEN!!! LEAAAAAAAAAVE!

The latest rumour is that Robbie Keane is going to Everton on loan. id be amazed if that happend though. Fuck Benitez for picking N'Gog over him. How can you justify that. He must hate Keane even though he spent 20 million on him. Its baffling.

Keane to Everton would be shocking, the ultimate diss. "I rate you so badly that we're giving you to our local rivals" I can't see that happening.

Man Utd have a lot of defenders out injured now, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra and Brown. Doesnt matter much though because that colossus Vidic is fit

Robinho to Man City is more wierd.

Club with ambitions way out of their reach at the current time are trying to sign world class players who want to acheive the highest level of awards/rewards (silverware, honours, trophies). funny though, money seems to be the biggest reward.

Well, Mark Hughes said hes buying Given because the younger keepers will learn alot from him, but will they learn alot by being benched? Given is better than Hart and K.Schmeichel so im gathering he will be the number 1, if not then Given is wasting his time.

If Man City bought Cudicini it would make more sense, as hes fine to sit on the bench.

Given is one of the best in the world. There shouldnt be any question of him being on the bench. Hart still has a lot to learn imo. Id prefer him to stay at Newcastle until the end of the season at least.

they will be his understudies, like guzan is freidal's understudy. guzan is young and will learn from one of the premierhsip's best and most experienced keepers. similar circumstances for hart and kasper.

Thing is, Keepers can play on until they 39/40. Given is what 33? I don't see him at Man City for that long.

No doubting Given's talent, i have said he is better than Hart and Kasper, but I don't see the benefit for Hart to be on the bench. Given can easily be number 1 for a few years, but I doubt Man City will keep him long, so where will that leave Given?

I love Given's loyalty for staying at Newcastle after all these years, but the man should have moved a long time ago where he could have made a much bigger name for himself, as he deserved.

some strange transfer over the last few days. Julien Faubert has joined Real Madrid from West Ham's subs bench and Matt Derbyshire has moved to Olympiakos from Blackburn. both are loan signings.

^Indeed. Derbyshire to Olympiakos is a good move though, I would like to see how well he does.

Faubert is just lawlza, hes a right winger but played fullback for West Ham...but hes good enough for Real Madrid!

Oliviera has rejoined Real Betis, good move.
