January Transfer Window

specualtion:

upson and heskey to villa (LOLOLOL - never ever!!)

harewood to stoke (if we sign a forward).

oh and yesterday we signed 17 year old Arsenio Halfhuid from Dutch side Excelsior on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee. he'll go straight into the youths.

Jo= one of the biggest flops ever. How can they justify paying 20 million for him? They say now that he is too weak to play in the premiership. If that was true, it would be a great deal for city as long as the can keep Adriano out of the pub.

Jo is 21 for fucks sake. Do people actually think a young player coming from RUSSIA to here will awesome right away? his fucking coach even said Jo will need atleast til January to get to grips with life as he doesn't adapt well, plus theyre playing him as a lone striker, thats not his role like Robbie Keanes at Liverpool. ;)

and fuck that "too weak" shit, coz Robinho isn't no henchman either. This guy has scored in the Champions League and Uefa cup, give the lad a chance, hes played about 10 games maximum, not all as a starter either. It took Tevez 23 games for his first goal for West Ham remember.

Its disgusting how these players are expected to perform as soon as they get off the plane. I heard people getting on Pavlychenkos back a few weeks ago, now he cant do anything wrong. Subjective motherfuckers :notrust:

^^im not basing my opinion on what other people and the media are saying. Im going from what i have seen so far. I have seen Jo play for Man City on a few occasions and he doesnt even look like a footballer. Im not hating on the guy or anything. Perhaps he might come good yet.

It wasnt me that said he was to weak. It was Mark Hughes i think.

Im just saying that in my opinion this guy does not look near good enough for that level of football. I agree with your last paragraph though. People are too quick to label players flops but in this case i think they are right unfortunately. Maybe the premiership wasnt the right move for him.

I agree 100% with Thuggy. There are so many variables involved, not the least are the change from country to country being foreign in both. It's a different system, a different club, a different language. He's played, what, a handful of games? For a player his age thats nothing.

Fans, media, always so quick to praise or denounce. Three miserable games and the player is the worst ever, three solid performances and they're chanting his name.

I'll give Jo another full year to get warmed up, starting....NOW.

It's not like he can't play or score. He was solid for CSKA, on a consistent basis. Him and Vagner Love.

Indeed Dukas.

The Jo I saw for CSKA was good on the verge of being a great young talent, check his performance against Inter Milan, fantastic. He doesn't suit the Man City style at all, hes not quick, he needs a partner alongside him but Man City only have Vassel and Benjani :*(

Not all my post was directed at you Bobby, the weak shit was at the statement, whoever made it and if Mark Hughes did say that, then hes a weak manager for letting the deal go ahead in the first place.

I feel managers aren't given a fair chance anymore these days. They have always and will always bear the burden of eventual responsbility, but I feel the sackings happen sooner and sooner every year.

Report: Cristiano Ronaldo Has Agreed To Join Real Madrid

The Portuguese winger will apparently move to the Bernabeu at the end of the season...

It seemed almost inevitable that the Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid rumours would resurface if the Portuguese winger won the FIFA World Player of the Year award, and it has taken only a few hours for tongues to start wagging.

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague claimed this morning, via his website, that the Manchester United star's agent, Jorge Mendes, has come to an agreement with Madrid president Ramon Calderon meaning that Ronaldo will move in the summer.

Earlier reports had stated that a similar agreement had been set-up with Florentino Perez, which he would exploit in order to re-gain his presidency at the Bernabeu.

However, it is instead with Calderon that a deal has been struck, allowing the Portuguese international to tell a press conference before the FIFA ceremony: "My agent does not have an agreement with Florentino Pérez."

Now, Balague has spoken to Sky Sports News, giving "access to the details of the agreement, including the financial terms," as promised within his initial claim.

The agent explained: "Ramon Calderon, I understand, has got an agreement with the player. He is going to play €12 million to Cristiano Ronaldo, €8m to Jorge Mendes, the agent, and they've got €85m - which will go up to €105m - to pay Manchester United.

"All that doesn't mean there's any agreement between the clubs. Still, I put all these things to high standing figures at Real Madrid, and they all came out with the same answer: 'We're not going to deny this, we're not going to say that it's true, but you're on the right path'."

Deal Or No Deal

Turning his attention to how the apparent understanding will affect Manchester United, Balague continued: "It's a verbal agreement and I think there will be a punishment though, if it doesn't get respected in the summer.

"It's up to Manchester United to accept or, as they did in the summer, not accept any kind of deal. What is strange that, if Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't want to leave Manchester United, why is his agent agreeing things with Real Madrid?

"I know Sir Alex Ferguson is going to be upset."

Asked about the legal implications, he mused: "You'd have to ask Real Madrid and UEFA. You find this constantly in football.

"Now it's a matter of convincing United with money... it won't be easily done."

Agreement in place, Los Merengues have apparently decided to scrap plans to sign Wigan Athletic's Luis Antonio Valencia in order to save funds."
Guillem Balague? He is a pundit on Sky's la liga coverage isnt he. This interesting. i reckon Ronaldo is off in the summer.

They wouldn't be able to hold onto him for another season. I want to see him go to Real Madrid, so he can face off against Messi and be humiliated.

You guys should sell him while he is rated...

Ferguson always sells players at the right time, Bekcham, Ruud, Butt, and so on.

Even the Portugese fans started hating Ronaldo.
