Anybody else love these movies? Spike TV was playing them all week, and I spent hours watching them. They have everything - story lines, gadgets, cars, girls, and great acting (minus Lazenby.. let's forget that one ever happened).

Oh, and Goldeneye is still the greatest video game ever.

i have always loved the james bond films. i'm more into the ones with Sean Connery and Roger Moore.

i'm not sure how i feel about the new actor playing bond. the blonde guy. but casino royale should still be good.

i have only seen like two of the bond films with Pierce Brosnan in them. i've never seen any of the films with Timothy Dalton and George Lazenby .

i end up watching the 8 days of bond on spike tv every year around this time. its the best thing on christmas eve besides 48 hours straight of a christmas story.

You talking about Goldeneye for the Nintendo 64?? I totally agree. It is the shit of all videogames. I still play it now, going over the levels continuasly.

Pierce Brosnan was arguably the best James Bond. He was more smooth than Connery and Moore, and it helped him convey that Bond persona. The problem was, other than Goldeneye, he didn't have as good of scripts as Connery and Moore did. Plus Connery and Moore were great themselves.

I feel the same way about Daniel Craig. He's supposedly a great actor though, which gets rid of some of my apprehensions. I don't expect another Lazenby.

Timothy Dalton gets a lot of shit sometimes, but Licence to Kill is one of my faves.

Haha! At least you rectified yourself. I play it so much I know exactly where the soldiers are, when to wait etc. I even know that you can get away with killing Dr Doak and Mishkin ;) try it.

the older movies also have better villains.. the ones in pierce brosnan movies where pretty garbage
Again, I only liked Trevelyan in Goldeneye. Carver, Renard, and Gustav Graves were pretty garbage. I liked the idea of Renard, but the movie didn't meet the Bond standards overall.

Dr. No, Goldfinger, Oddjob, Blofeld, Scaramanga, Nick Nack, Jaws, Mr. Big, Max Zorin, Sanchez.. they were kick ass villains.

Yeah the movies simply got something - they won't change your life but they'll entertain, that's what they're here for.

I can't engage myself in the old Bond movies, simply because of the outdated technology-the gadgets and whatnot. I love the Pierce Brosnan ones, even though you could find faults in them for days. It's just fun to watch.

Not only is Goldeneye one of the best games ever, I rank it as my favorite Bond movie ever. Goldfinger, License To Kill are some of my other faves as well.

As far as Bond actors, I'm torn between Connery and Brosnan.

^ yeah, Roger Moore does a great job, but he looks out of place in some of the covert stuff

I have a feeling the new one 'Casino Royale' starring the new James Bond actor Daniel Craig (L4yer Cake, Munich, The Jacket and Road to Perdition) is going to be one of the better ones around. :thumb:
