Ja Rule and Lil Wayne arrested on weapons chargers

Both Ja Rule and Lil Wayne were arrested last night for criminal possession of a weapon., in two separate incidents.

According to reports, Ja Rule and two associates, were arrested around 10:37 p.m. on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York, for speeding. A .40 caliber pistol was found inside the vehicle.

Lil' Wayne was arrested shortly after his performance at the Beacon Theater. Police say they saw the New Orleans rapper and an acquaintance, smoking marijuana near 61st Street and Columbus Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Police discovered a .40 caliber pistol.
