After some recent negative news regarding a misdemeanor assault charge being elevated to felony, Rap-A-Lot Records CEO James "J. Prince" Smith has also furthered his longstanding reputation as a Houston benefactor. In preparation for the holiday season, the music mogul, who earlier this month released Scarface's MADE, donated $100,000 to the Bread Of Life food kitchen in Houston.

The kitchen provides food and shelter for under-serviced families in the metropolitan area.

In response to the charitable donation, the non-profit has been renamed J. Prince Kitchen. Along with the renaming, Prince has established more community interaction from celebrities in the kitchen, deeming the third Monday of every month as an opportunity for Houston celebs to be honored and participate in the serving.

Last week, Prince was seen attending the funeral of longtime friend and Rap-A-Lot solo artist Pimp C.
