Earlier this year BBE Records announced that producer Jay Dee had several albums in the works before his untimely passing, including his third solo LP, The Shining, which is finally being released on Aug. 22.

The 32-year-old producer (born James Yancey) completed most of The Shining before he passed away, and his mother Maureen Yancey and frequent collaborator Karriem Riggins oversaw the LP’s final touches.

The tracklist is as follows:

1) Geek Down (feat. Busta Rhymes)
2) E=MC2 (feat. Common)
3) Love Jones
4) Love (feat. Pharoahe Monch)
5) Baby (feat. Madlib and Guilty Simpson)
6) So Far to Go (feat. Common and D’Angelo)
7) Jungle Love (feat. MED & Guilty Simpson)
8) Over the Breaks
9) Body Movin’ (feat. J. Rocc and Karriem Riggins)
10) Dime Piece (Remix) (feat. Dwele)
11) Love Movin’ (feat. Black Thought)
12) Won’t Do

There is still no release date on J Dilla’s other posthumous album, Jay Love Japan, which is scheduled to drop sometime this year on Operation Unknown Records.

Jay Dee, known for producing classic tracks including Common’s "The Light" and De La Soul’s "Is High," passed away in February from lupus and blood-related complications.

His production work is also featured on Busta Rhymes’ latest album, The Big Bang, and Ghostface Killah’s LP, Fishscale.

Glad to see this stuff getting released, and hopefully untouched for the most part.

So much love for Dilla. Got represented everywhere. Even at Cat's Cradle in NC during the GZA/Muggs show.
