It's not ____it's____!

You have struck a nerve here. I cannot stand 'our' one bit. It looks disgusting.

You're using British English, while we here in America of course, use American English. British English is consistent with Middle English and less, but still fairly with Old English. American English is consistent with Modern English. Get with the times. I'm tired of that shit.

All words that end in 'our' on www.dictionary.com are just shown as variants to their American-English counterpart. The definition for those words are in the American-spelled definition. Even on www.dictionary.co.uk if you type 'flavour' the first result is 'flavor'.

Which brings me to another point. Listen up, e-Anchorman of Streethop.com. Let's face it, this is an American-based community. While it may not be predominantly American, it is based on American culture for the most part. When you are writing news columns about hip-hop please do so in American English.

Thank you, good bye.

PS: To continue contribution to this page, it is good bye, not goodbye as it is commonly written.

Surely the English would know how to speak and spell the English language better than any other country.

I try to write in American... Check how I spelt Apologise yesterday. But it isn't easy to spell words incorrectly. Because I agree that StreetHop should use American spellings.

However, if Americans weren't so self absorbed and actually left their country and experienced more of the world we wouldn't have these mis-pronounciations. America's bastardisation of the English language always amuses me. It spells words the way I did when I was 5. Before I had been educated into the rules of the English language. No matter how weird and wrong they may appear.

In England we all pronounce words like Muslim correctly, and Iraq. Except for the school dropout council Scum.

Oh yeah...

Erm....

It's not British, It's English (Or Scottish, Welsh, Irish; depending on which country you are talking about)

P.S - Has Eric had a personality change? The writing is to concise and correct. It is lacking on the obvious jokes and seems to have a certain inteligence about it.

I highly doubt you'll find someone who's been taught elementary school geography in the United States will pronounce Illinois as Illanoise. The same applies to Arkansas. Of course, some people just say Illinois to attempt humor, such as Steven. All it comes down to really is how you've heard it said because the pronounciation goes against proper grammar. That's why you hear people say cities wrong often where they aren't from. When I traveled across the country, I learned this the embarassing way. Kelli, what was that city I kept pronouncing wrong in Ohio? I remember you laughing. :(

HAHAHAhahahahAHAHAH It was Huber Heights...pronounced Hugh-Ber but you kept calling it Hubber Heights. hehehehhehehe

high school or secondary school
