Most Irish I know only use Guinness/Kilkerny to get them over the line of drunken-ness, then hit the Whiskey hard to push them at the speed of light towards shattered-ness.

Saying that, Ireland beat Pakistan in the cricket world cup. Thats the equivalent of oh I don't know let's say Australia beating Canada in Ice Hockey or New Zealand beating Italy in Football.. Absolutely huge. I was in O'Maleys when it happened and goddamn I've never seen so much green rush to the bar at once.

Yes but we lost the 6 nations rugby championship to France yesterday.We hammered Italy but we needed Scotland to keep the score down against France.It was looking good until France scored a try in the very last piece of play and therefore won the championship because they had a slightly better point difference than Ireland.Also Ireland tried to run up a bigger score against Italy instead of just kicking the ball to touch.Italy ended up scoring a try in the last minute which reduced our points difference.If they hadnt scored this try we would have had a better points difference than France and won the championship.It was the most sickening defeat ever id say and im not even a big fan of rugby.

Spent most of St Patrick's Day watching sport on TV.Weather was absolutely horrible here.Didnt drink much.I dont like St Patrick's Day very much.Its always seems to be a major dissapointment as far as sport is concerned.Roll on the day when the clocks go forward and the evenings are longer and fine weather.

Just after hearing there on the news that the Pakistan cricket coach died.Must have been the shock of Ireland beating them that killed him.lol.seriously though RIP.Thats prett sad, he was only 58.

btw, this cricket victory doesnt even register here in Ireland.A very small minority play this sport so while its a nice achievement we couldnt really give a shit.Soccer, Rugby, Hurling and Gaelic Football are the main sports here.
