poor owen wilson, he tried to kill himself, oh so sad it must be really hard to rich and famous

Actor Owen Wilson was hospitalized after attempting suicide, sources tell the NATIONAL ENQUIRER and Star magazine exclusively.

Wilson was transported to St. John’s hospital in Santa Monica , Calif. on Sunday, August 26, by ambulance. Sources tell the ENQUIRER and Star that he sliced his left wrists and took an indeterminate amount of pills.

He was discovered by a family member who summoned help.

Police and an ambulance responded to a 911 call from Owen’s house around noon on Sunday.

His wrist was sutured and bandaged at the hospital.

The ENQUIRER and Star broke the story of Owen’s hospitalization earlier Sunday and revealed that he was being transferred from St. John’s after being stabilized. The publications learned that he was going to be detoxed.

Owen was brought in to St. John’s in very serious condition. Police were on the scene immediately as was a criminal defense attorney, believed to be working for Wilson. Some of Owen’s family was with him.

Wilson was stabilized at St. John’s.

lol no i do think people with money and fame have problems....but all this, from what i have heard, is from his girlfriend breaking up with him. there are people out there who have it far off worse than he ever will and some how they sitll manage to wake up every single day and keep on going.

I know men who were refugees that have 0 family left. All dead. Wife, children, siblings, etc. They're still around, and have a will to live and refuse to give in to their pain.

Till Owen Wilson is in that position, I won't feel bad.

Not true. A lot of ppl come to the hospital that tried to overdose on pills...usually they just end up puking non stop and sleeping for a long time. I don't like when ppl joke about suicide...it's sad.

we all experience and perceive things differently. isn't it a possibility that said person had to experience something you never had to? i mean you may have been beaten to the curb, you may have sold drugs for two years to buy food for your children, it doesn't matter. based on your past experiences, you found yourself in a difficult place in your life, but the good outweighed the bad, and you still have a desire to live because there are things you care about.

let's say that a person becomes famous and gets a bunch of money. in turn all his friends use him for it, all the girls he meet fucks him for his fame and his money, he can't just go for a walk to the supermarket if he's hungry without a few masculine dudes following him. or not. if he so much as kisses a girl he's on the front page of a magazine. when he's emotionally drained after a relative died he may coincidently meet a reporter who is overly persistent and not respecting his privacy, all while he is emotionally crushed. either way, no matter what he or you went through in your lives, it's a situation you did not have to experience. you can assume that you would become happy with so much money, and you can assume that losing that money would suck but you would still have the other good things in your life.

let's say that the woman was his one only joy, and that after that, he had no real desires, no real ambition. nothing he wanted to do with his life except it just being over-with. like i said, if you understand the human brain you understand it's not that simple as "anyone who kills himself over a girl is a loser and deserves no sympathy".

or to put it in a different way. look at your persona as it is right now. then try and imagine what you would actually have to go through to get to the point where, regardless of how you feel about your life today, still want to end it. isn't it a fair assumption as well that maybe he had it a bit tougher than you, purely from an emotional point of view?

i'm not for suicide btw, i'm just making the argument because it's highly relevant for me. and i don't know this specific dude's motives for trying to kill himself. maybe it WAS a ploy. so let's neglect him and speak more in general.

Anyone who wants to die because a girl left them does not want to die because a girl left them. That was just the catalyst. He is suffering from depression and has deep, underlying life issues. He was depressed before he met her and he was depressed while he was with her. He was on an emotional tightrope for who knows how long, and he used her as a reason to stay alive, as so often happens.

By the way, is this story about him confirmed at all by the mainstream media?
