it has to stop now

I can't say that I agree totally. Remember, Dante hasn't even met his wife yet. His child was conceived thru a sperm bank dropoff. But for the most part, yes its sad and pathetic.

Who's to say its 'acceptable' or not? Of course, and I think anyone would (should, anyway) agree that internet dating is pathetic and pointless. A good example would be kfatal and that one 13 yr old chick on here, whatever her name is. But to meet someone, I don't think all circumstances are unacceptable or wrong. And what would qualify it as wrong? Of course, meeting someone underage would. But what are the other 'qualifications'? I really don't think it matters otherwise.

And this all qualifies with same sex meetings, too. Myself, Big Flipp, Shed, and Bino have all talked about meeting up at a bar at some point. It just hasn't happened, but it will. What's wrong with that? We all live in the same area. Skilz and Frog have chilled multiple times. Again, of course, internet dating is stupid and completely pointless. As is (I saw this mentioned) going into a gallery or seeing someones picture and just falling in love right then and plan on meeting or just starting an e-relationship. Utterly pathetic that is. But to have talked to someone on here or the internet in general (casual talking) and then over time reach a mutual desicion to meet up and carry on a healthy/normal friendship or relationship, I find nothing wrong with that at all. But one thing I think I'm firmly against is falling in e-love, having internet relationships and even having intentions to meet up right then when someone sends you their picture.

With the help of MySpace, it has become well-accepted amongst people to meet someone online. I saw a poll on CNN a couple of weeks ago where it stated that 7 in 10 people who have the internet have met someone online. I guess that's true because to my surprise I find out that more and more of my friends have met someone online. One lucky guy I don't know met a friend of mine and she didn't like him but she felt bad for him because he drove like 40 minutes to meet her so she slept with him anyway. Crazy. But that's beside the point. I hope this post sheds some insight on what I think most people are closeted about.

your essay you feverishly punched out on your jewberry is irrelevant.

you are guilty, hence your attempt at rebuttal. leave the internet girls alone. just because some wigger whore adds you to her myspace buddies doesn't mean you should hop a flight to sniff her poorly wiped ass.

A hip-hop message forum should not be a place to try and get laid. Jokes and compliments are on thing, but beyond that..

Hey Dante, who's crossed borders to meet someone they met on here?

maybe that exposure will come out naturally by those involved...

it's a quite humorous story, especially the end result.

^^ <sarcasm> It was me going to see Sicc in Arizona.... I MISS YOU SICC! </sarcasm>

But I still stand by my side of the story when I say Jon came to see ME in Vegas and not the other way around.

meeting up under the pretenses to crack some brews is entirely different than meeting up to crack some legs. one is cool, one is to be admonished and ridiculed.

You know whats funnier, having girls fly you interstate to meet them and paying for the whole trip based on Myspace profiles... It has happened to two of my friends in the past month.

The world is weird man, the net has taken over, I get asked for my email when I am out almost as much as I get asked for my number.

The "its the internet" stigma has been smashed to hell and back no one really cares anymore; it's just another part of life.

agreed at some point. personally i wouldnt meet anyone from here. why? security because we never know. and also because i dont like the whole idea of meeting someone from the internet. i dont have an e-life, e-heart, e-feelings, etc. i dont wanna be e-pimped. before internet existed, people were able to meet other people without it, why now everything is related to internet? because its easier? because instead of taking the real hard way, people take the easy sneaky way?

but now i'm curious.. who met who and what happened?
