Prize Gotti gave me the idea with his fake Hellraizor thread about haunted shit. So is there a haunted place near you? The link below has an index of supposed haunted places all over the world. Check it to see if there is any places near you with hauntings and the like and then post them up here.

The Stanley Hotel is supposed to be or something like that, it's the place where they filmed The Shining, I think. It's about 3 hours away from me.

there used to be a scary looking place in my area but they broke it down and built town houses over it lol

Here's a few closest to me that I found on that site:

Various sounds can be heard in the night, items and book falling from walls and shelves, the image of a man has been seen in the Senior NCO's and Officer’s Messes. Sounds are also hear emanating from what ids known as 'the dungeon'... footsteps, voices etc.

BC - Vancouver - Gastown - The Old Spaghetti Factory - The most haunted area of the restaurant seems to be near the old trolley car. A couple of employees have reported a ghostly figure sitting in the trolley car, and many have had experiences with the ghost calling their names.

BC - Vancouver - Hotel Vancouver - The hotel's elevator often stops on floor 14 and as the elevator door opens on its own, a lady in red is seen gliding through the hallway.

BC - Vancouver - Officer's Row - While these office buildings were being remodeled, ghostly activity started occurring. People have reported various supernatural encounters such as footsteps, cold spots, touching, and unplugged phones ringing.

BC - Vancouver - The Orpheum - (opened in 1927) is said to be haunted. There was a acrobat that was part of a vaudeville act that died there. His ghost is still said to haunt the place.

BC - Vancouver - University of British Columbia - 16th Avenue West - It is said that a woman was left on the road by her boyfriend because the two had an argument. It was raining and no public transit was present then. The woman was walking and hitchhiking east on 16th Ave. West when she was struck and killed by a motor vehicle, soon after her funeral reports of a young woman hitchhiking was reported to the police and some even try to pickup and try to help her from getting home and to keep her dry from the Vancouver rain. If a driver is accompanied by a passenger and offered the hitchhiker a lift home she would just ignore them and continue walking, and if a lone male driver stops and offers the hitchhiker for a ride she would not hesitate and jumps in the rear seat, the driver would then ask the hitchhiker where home is and of course there would be no answer, because the woman is not there.

BC - Vancouver - U.B.C. - Main library is said to be haunted by old lady in white dress.

BC - Vancouver - The Vogue Theatre - This theatre was built in 1941 (which is considered relatively old by Vancouver standards) and to this day is said to be haunted by at least one ghost. Often staff members have reported unexplained noises such as footsteps etc. But there have also been apparitions of a tall man in a white tuxedo and black bow tie, who one time was even seen in the aisle by a well known performer while he (the performer) was doing a dance onstage in the middle of a performance.

This is a True Story.

Where I live, there was once an Orphanage in my town called 'Westley House' that had been closed for hundreds of years. Rumour has it that the Orphanage closed down after one of the people that worked there went crazy from all the crying children, so when they were all asleep, she murdered everyone of them. The place was a bloodbath, the police arrested the women and the Orphanage was shut down and never reopened. The building stood emtpy for centuries. People had used the hosue for Squatting, when police discovered the building had been broken into, all the squatters had killed themselves, why? no one knows.

Me and my friends broke in once, as soon as we got in we heard people running around upstairs, we shit ourselves and ran straight out.

The house has since been demolished and the land is to never be built on.

Belleville - Pasta House - It is said to be haunted by a family that was killed when it was a hotel many years ago. If you are there late enough you can hear a woman and child scream

i;ve eaten here a few times

Belleville - The Ghost Tracks - Possible Urban Legend - The ghost tracks are the alleged resting place of a young boy killed by a train on the tracks. It is said that if you roll over the tracks and stop just after you cross them and put your car in neutral, the boy will push the car back over the tracks, up a hill, to save you from his fate. If you put baby powder on your bumper, after he pushes you, you can see his fingerprints. - September Update: the tracks have since been removed.

didnt know the tracks were no longer there but i have been to this spot a few times. it is not an urban legend. something really pushes your car over the tracks. it is weird.

Collinsville - Cahokia Mounds - Ghost of Indians and strange shadows and balls of light

went to a 4th grade field trip here

Collinsville - Lebanon Rd. - Gates of Hell - On a lonely road called Lebanon road there are a series of concrete tunnels (gates). If you drive out there and park under any of them and turn out your lights, the spirits will send hellhounds out to bring back your soul. Legend around here says that if you drive through all of the gates without driving through one twice, at the stroke of midnight as you drive through the last gate, you will be plucked out of the night and taken to hell

this is all country side. it is were the high schoolers would drive around to smoke pot without worrying about police. their are actually about 12 gates of hell that expand between two counties and about 3 towns. i have driven through them all plenty of times. sometimes even all at once. nothing ever happend. unless i was so high i didnt notice

Lebanon - McKendree College - On the main campus, one of the original buildings is the chapel. It is said at the turn of the century, that a distraught student entered the bell tower and hung himself. At times his ghost can be heard walking the upper floors late at night.

Lebanon - McKendree College - Carnegie - three ghosts believed to inhabit this building. People have been grabbed. It will sometimes turn on the television on the first floor and even change channels. One other one is mean and fills the place with foreboding and the other is just scared.

Lebanon - McKendree College - Chapel - There is something in the chapel. A night security guard at the college in the early and mid 1980's, relayed plenty of stories of how he would hear organ or piano music being played in the sanctuary, which is on the secondfloor. By the time he would get there to check it out, the music had fadedaway. He would also hear sounds as if someone were running down the center of the sanctuary floor. This was odd since there is no middle aisle.

lol i have never heard of these ones before but i have been to parties here and delivered pizzas here when i was in high school

there is also this place here in kentucky were a movie was filmed not too long ago, low budget, rip off of other famous horroc flicks. vh1 did something here last year too. fucked up place if you read the history of it

Dayton - University of Dayton - The Theta Phi Alpha House - Is supposedly hunted by a young man. Many of the girls who have lived in the home report heavy items that are moves around and lights turning on or off on their own. Often the girls say they can feel a presence and that often when they go to bed at night it is cold and when they wake up they have less energy then they did the night before.
I go to UD all the time...never seen anything

Dayton - Witches Tower - It is a tower about 6 stories high, which was built on top of a burial ground in the time of the Civil War. The legend is that a woman climbed to the top of it one night and committed suicide. and actually see her standing up there, in a long black robe walking around on the top, and looking over the edge.
I went into this tower when I was like 12 (it's boarded up now) and on halloween a few years ago. It's kinda creepy but I didn't see anything. Smelled like piss but I'm sure it was home to a few homeless ppl.
Dayton - Woodland Cemetery - There is a tombstone in there that a young girl sits on. When she is sitting on her grave there is a glow to it at night. A college student spotted her while doing a report. He tried to talk to her but no response. She looks normal and clear like anybody else. She is wearing tennis shoes, a sweatshirt and jeans.
I've been in this cemetary too. Never seen this but there is a tombstone of a boy and a dog...the boy was drowning and the dog jumped in to save him and they both died. If you touch the dogs nose it's supposed to be wet or something...I touched it...it wasn't.
Dayton - St. Elizabeth Medical Center - Haunted hospital. Closed at this time. Cold spots Self motivated elevators. Moans and groans. Doors open and close when locked.
I was born in this hospital.
Dayton - Air Force Museum - Little Vietnamese boy who walks the museum at night. He was said to have died in one of the helicopters. Another haunting I have seen is a nazi fighter plane the pilot who had crashed and died, the plane was restored and the pilot waves out the window to visitors
been there....
Dayton - Air force base - The P.O.W exhibit and Lady Be Good and the Hop along are haunted. In the Hop Along there is a blood stain which the janitors cant remove.
I accidentally drove onto the base once. I was lost...they stopped me with huge guns...I was scared...they laughed. (boys in uniform with big guns...hot :D

What baffles me is the correlational association between brutal and horrible deaths and haunting.

When you die, you're either going to Heaven or Hell - or no where at all or somewhere else but your soul does not remain on Earth to haunt the living.

Ghosts do not exist.

what baffles me is that people say things like "ghost do not exist" or "there are not such things as ghosts" only because science can not prove it. but those are usually the same people that believe in god.

Seattle - Andrew's Rainbow House - A young man named Andrew who was gay finally decided to tell his father he was gay. His father freaked out and killed his son and himself. The next morning the house was painted rainbow colors on the front and the back of the house is an array of colors and swirls. There is also colored tile on the roof and a gray letter "A" in the tile roof. The house has been painted before but the next day the house is always backing to the rainbow colors. The house was shown on "Unsolved Mysteries" for the unexplained activity.

We used to go and egg this house all the time. It's not rainbow anymore, it's like white. So, I guess that solves the mystery.

Seattle - West Seattle - Suicide Bridge - There's a bridge located in Seattle. Supposedly, a person had committed suicide by jumping off a bridge with his dog. You can see the chalk marks still when you go there and around 2-4 am people have seen the man with is dog by the beach near there staring at people.

I have been here plenty times and pretty much at any time during the night. There's no chalk and certainly no man on the beach.

The Bible & The Qu'ran say otherwise.

"Haunt" is such a loose term, it doesn't mean to scare people, positive spirits 'Haunt' aswell, but people only make note of negative ones.

Im pretty certain my grandfathers spirit still lives in my house. I've never seen his 'ghost', but I feel he is here in some form of energy.

England - Northampton - The Royal Theatre - There are two boxes in the Royal, the one on the Right is haunted by the 'grey lady'. She has been seen frequently by backstage staff.
