While it is understood that Italians - particularly those steeped in the history of their culture & weighed down by tradition - are racists, Don Potato Head is a fan of Denzel Washington's work & often pretends to be his character, Alonzo, in Training Day - although granted this is more for the chance to beat up Ethan Hawke than anything. (Don Potato Head was less than impressed to hear that he had been cheating on Uma Thurman).
For those who would question Don Potato Head's loyalty to tradition, he wants me to let it be known that Jerry (that little fucking rat!) was slain just the other day for being a federal informant.
By the same token, in response to those who say Don Potato Head is held back by tradition, he would like to point out the example of his Godson Tony who, - despite being a Cuban immigrant - Don Potato Head nurtured for years before sanctioning his rise in the cocaine trade.
Needless to say, he was disheartened to hear of his Godson's demise & sent a 'little friend' to make Tony's killers aware of his disappointment.
PS.
Tony killed Manny against the will of Don Potato Head but Don Potato Head did understand why Tony had done what he did, & forgave him for it even if he could only tell him this at his funeral.
