-"The Brooklyn father accused of raping a 13-year-old girl kept his victim's cell phone and tried to call her friends to line them up as his next victims, sources revealed yesterday.
"He wanted to meet her friends," a source said. "He left messages saying he found her cell phone and wanted to arrange returning it."
Investigators believe they have matched the voice on the messages to Jofre Bautista, 33, who allegedly snatched a 13-year-old girl Tuesday at knifepoint, punched her and raped her inside his van in Woodside."
-"A 10-year-old girl ran from house to house in Bay Shore Friday morning, yelling, "My daddy's killing my mother!"
After neighbors called the police, they said the girl's stepfather, Elden MacFarlane, walked out of the house at 6 West Dr. and sat on the steps of his home smoking a cigarette. He had a knife at his side, neighbors said.
When police arrived, they charged MacFarlane, 36, with stabbing his wife, Regina MacFarlane, to death."
-"Cops are hunting for a sexual predator who tries to trick girls into entering his van by promising them a free cell phone, police said yesterday.
Leonel Solis, 32, allegedly raped one girl and sexually abused another in two incidents earlier this year in Harlem and the Bronx, police said."
-"A college student kicked her way out of a moving vehicle after a man dressed as a law enforcement agent abducted her in Queens yesterday, witnesses and police sources said.
The 19-year-old victim was handcuffed behind her back when she rolled out of an old, blue van onto 112th Ave. in South Jamaica, bleeding from her head.
"It was crazy. It was like 007," said Byron Jones, 16, a student at August Martin High School who saw the woman's escape. "She was screaming, 'Help me! Help me!'"
The woman, identified by sources as a student at York College, told cops she was walking home from classes about 4:30 p.m. when a man stepped out of the blue van along the Van Wyck Expressway near 107th St."
-"Elisabeth Parisi kept her long, strawberry blond hair down to her waist for most of her 24 years.
She confided in friends that her live-in boyfriend routinely dragged her around by it, according to family and friends.
When Parisi's body was found and police released a sketch, all the freckles on her face were in the right spots, her friends and family said, but her signature mane was shown cropped to her shoulders.
The mysterious haircut chilled her family as they imagined the events leading up to her death. She never would have willingly cut it, they said."
-"They thought Larry Major was a good guy, and that is why the people who loved and admired him are struggling to understand why he is dead, why he sat in his black 2002 Acura on Sept. 30 and pulled the trigger of a shotgun two days after he was arrested for allegedly raping a female Robeson student. It is also why they don't understand the account filed by prosecutors in Queens criminal court, the documents that say Major, 45, first called the girl at home when she was a freshman to talk dirty to her, then had sex with her at least once a month for three years.
For Major's friends, it gets even worse: Before he died, police were investigating allegations that Major had sexual encounters with at least one other underage girl, a law enforcement source told the Daily News.
"I never had a clue he was involved with a young girl," says Cardozo assistant coach Billy Medley, one of Major's best friends. "I've been racking my brain, trying to figure that one out.""
-"The executive editor of the influential African-American weekly the Amsterdam News has been charged with misdemeanors for allegedly abusing his girlfriend.
Jamal Watson, 29, pleaded not guilty before Judge Alex Calabrese at Red Hook Community Justice Center for misdemeanor menacing, unlawful imprisonment and harassment in the Oct.2 incident at their Baltic St. apartment.
Calabrese released Watson on his own recognizance and ordered both the editor and his estranged girlfriend, Mary Radmore, to stay clear of each other."
-"NEW YORK -- Three weeks after her boyfriend was charged with murder, an autopsy confirmed that a Bolivian woman whose battered body was discovered in a Pennsylvania landfill was the victim of a homicide, the city medical examiner said Thursday.
Monica Lozada-Rivadineira, 26, was killed by "homicidal violence" that included knife wounds, said Ellen Borakove, spokeswoman for the medical examiner. Lozada-Rivadineira disappeared in Queens on Sept. 24, and her remains were not found until Oct. 6.
Cesar Ascarrunz, her boyfriend, was arrested Oct. 1 and charged with murder. According to authorities, Ascarrunz took the dead woman's 4-year-old daughter after the slaying and abandoned her in the middle of the night on a Queens street.
Ascarrunz, 32, remained jailed without bail in the case. The suspect allegedly took the victim's body and dumped it in a pile of trash in Queens; the woman's body was later unknowingly transported to the landfill."
