last night i got punched about 8 times in the face by some crazed slut. her friend abused me, so i gave her some back and then her pal went crazy and started swinging on me. i didnt hit her back, came pretty close though. in the end the bouncers came over she took a swing at one of them, missed and then he punched her square in the face.

But seriously, if a woman is physically hurting you somehow (like twisting piano wire around your neck or cutting away at your penis while you sleep), then I (and the law) think it should be okay to hit her if necessary. But it's never okay to hit a woman because of something she says, or because she's acting like a complete "bitch." Or because she won't do what you say. So, yes, if you or someone else is in physical danger from that woman and can't just push her or walk away. No, for any other reason. Unless you come up with a situation that's not covered by anything I've said.
Well, in this case, you could have walked away from her and the bouncer could have twisted her arm and thrown her out without punching her. So no to hitting her in this situation. Restraining her perhaps, but not hitting.
I had a chick slap me once and I spit in her face. I don't know if she was in shock or just embarrassed or what but she just walked away.

The easier solution is to stay away from such toxic hang-outs. If you happen to know this is where the 'crazed sluts' run amuck, I'd not go back there. Try to avoid those situations in their entirety and you won't have to ask yourself this question in the first place.

Yes, I think so. Have I ever? No. But deifying women like that is, like Rukas said, sexist. I don't think anyone should be hitting anyone and that is THE BEST way to avoid having to make the decision of whether to hit someone.
Fights aren't always instigated in bars or where people are drunk. They can be sober and a girl can just be riding her high horse thinking she won't get hit. And I think that ideology needs to stop.

I think unless you are going to be injured by it be the bigger person. I am all for restraining though, as in Woody's situation the bouncer could have easily stopped her from doing anything. But bouncers are quick tempered.
I can't stand women who treat men like shit just because they feel there is that social law that prevents men from hitting them, atleast for some men one day they might just do it to the wrong guy and get shocked.

Let me post this question: women have been discriminated against for some time now and some may say it continues today. A big factor may have been the women's rights movement that took place during most of the 20th Century. It was a huge push in the "right" direction.
Do you think the "push" was one that may have gone too far? If society were a chemical reaction, would it have gone forward so far past the equilibrium that it's no longer "equal" causing it turn in the other direction. A men's rights movement? Will that go too far back then that there will never be true "equilibrium" between the two because it's being overshot every time one side struggles to gain "equality?"
I think about this a lot. Like how great nations/civilizations finally fall to another, and that's it's one big circle and those that were once at the bottom are on their way back up. Like African countries. India. China.

suprisingly tough one tbh. my ex spat in my face and its disgusting, the lowest of the low. not only is it nasty, it stinks too. i never hit her back though, and im still not sure how i managed to restrain myself..
i'd probably go for being spit at over a headbutt, but i could still hold a bit of respect for someone who headbutts me. No respect for spitters though. I'd hit a woman before even thinking about spitting at her (hitting them would be circumstantial, of course), but i'd spit in my worst enemies face before hitting them, and thats pretty much the only time.
