Just get a mac. No viruses no problems. I literally have not shut down my macbook in like 6 months. I just close the lid and it sleeps, open it and in less than a blink of an eye I'm right back where I left it no load time nothing.
Definition: STOP 0x00000024, 0X0000024, 0X24 or NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
Applies to: Windows XP and other operating systems.
This stop error means that your ntfs file system is corrupt (damage in the file system, bad hard drive data, corrupt SCSI or IDE drivers or a corrupt ntfs.sys file).
faggot computer
No viruses no problems.
Well that's simply not true. There are plenty of viruses for Macs. The most recent one was a trojan that was included with some highly torrented copies of iLife '09.
The situation is that there are less viruses for Macs because there are less Macs in the world, and the people who write viruses are only out to target as many people as possible.
OSX has something like 5% of worldwide market share. To put that into perspective, Windows 7 was only released 4 months ago and already has 10% of worldwide market share. XP still has around 70% and Vista about 15%.
With simple virus protection, there's nothing to worry about. I've literally maybe had 2 viruses on PC's in the last decade and both of those were my fault for being careless and were sorted out with an hour or so.
Limn, start by doing this:
1. Download CCleaner from CCleaner - Home
Hit the "Run Cleaner" button and let it do it's thing. Then hit the "Applications" tab and hit "Run Cleaner" again. The select "Registry" on the left side and click "Scan for Issues". It'll no doubt find a bunch, when it has, click "Fix selected issues". Then click "Tools" on the left, select "Startup", and disable EVERYTHING except for the 3-6 items where the File path begins with "C:\Windows".
Then select "Uninstall" from the left, and uninstall anything you don't use. I mean literally be ruthless with it, only keep what's essential.
2. Reboot your machine. Let me know what antivirus you are using.
Are you running Windows XP? NTFS problems usually mean hard drive corruption, but there's a few things we can do to check for that. But do this stuff first and then get back to me and we'll go from there.

I can't remember the last time I had a virus. I just can't picture being bothered by them unless you like to download suspicious files off the internet.
People who buy Macs say that "no virus" stuff because PC viruses usually don't affect their machines. They have their own viruses and bugs plaguing their loved computers though and they just spread in different ways. These days when I check spam mails I see viruses for Macs more and more often.

. Im building an i7 desktop for a Pro Tools rig only because I have several Windows only RTAS licenses I cant live without. You guys keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better. :thumb:
^^ Looks like the UK is waaaay overpriced. Sucks to be you.
Oh btw, OSX is 64 bit. Get your facts straight. Just goes to show how misinformed you are about everything, cant even get that right. Your stats are usually wrong. For example, your 5% is actually 10% Mac userbase worldwide and 20+% in the US.
Oh and for the record, Windows 7 stole most of its shit from OSX.
Please show me where you bought this 400pound laptop from? I call bullshit until you provide a source. Sounds like a great deal I might need to forward it to a friend out there, just hope it isnt some cheap chinese brand.
A year from now you'll be saying how Windows 7 sucks and Google Android OS rules, and in the mean time they will be stealing all of your personal information and you'll have ads all over your desktop. And me? Ill still be ad free, privacy secure, and virus free on a Mac happy I paid the little extra for my security and peace of mind. You get what you pay for.
