Is It A Class II

#2
no one will read this post because of the title.... but pack on topic no its not a classic. a cd is classic to me when i can leave it in my car stereo for an extended period of time and not want to change, usually around a week or so. I like most of the songs but i can never make it through the secound round through without reaching for my over flowing cd book.

well even though it may come up short of your very strict standards of what determines a classic im going to have to disagree and say yes. very solid cd that has high replay value.

High reply value to me. I still play it and has alot of great songs, actually most of it is great.

- Intro
- Ruff Ryders Anthem
- Get At Me Dog
- Damien (Classic on it's own)
- Stop Being Greedy
- Crime Story
- X is Coming (another great and raw track on it's own)
- I Can Feel It

With that many hits, imo. How could it not be a classic. Also, it was the first time something that raw and violently vivid was released.

For example, verse 2 off 'X is Coming':

''You got yourself in a predicament, that you can’t get out of
You already in some shit, but it’s about to get hotter
Fuckin’ wit’ a, nigga like you, runnin’ your mouth
Will, have that same nigga like you, gun in your mouth
But won’t be like the last time when you run in the house
’cuz I ain’t knockin’ on the door
I’m comin in the house and I’m gunnin’ for your spouse
Tryin’ to send the bitch back to her maker
And if you got a daughter older then 15, i’ma rape her
Take her on the living room floor, right there in front of you
Then ask you seriously, whatchu wanna do?
Frustratin’, isn’t it? when they kill me, but i’ma kill you
Now watch me fuck just a lil’ while longer, please, will you?
This is revenge, no time before you die
And despite how much I hate to see a grown man cry
I’ma make you suffer, see your ass in hell, motherfucker
Click, boom, boom
See your ass in hell''

Thinking back, I don't remember anybody that raw blowing up in the rap game.

Classic to me? Yes.

to me, if a cd is a classic, it has to have around 8 to 10 bangers on it

i agree and disagree, when some cds have 20 songs on them 8 bangers isnt looking like a classic, then you have illmatic.
