Technology Is a PC card the same thing as a wireless card?

After searching Google and not finding anything, I had to try here.

Does anyone know if a PC card is the same thing as a wireless card? I know I have a PC card, but I what I need is a wireless card so I can go on the Internet with my notebook. I wanted to know if I could use this PC card to go in the Internet, but if its not the same thing as a wireless card, I guess there's nothing I can do with it.

I know its a PC card because that's what it says on the card itself.

I did a search on Google images, and searches for both "PC card" and "wireless card" resulted in similar images.

A laptops have PCMCIA slots. Type II PCMCIA cards also known as PC Cards fit in these slots. PC cards are credit card size expansion cards.

There are Wireless PC cards. They are credit card sized.

A desktop computer has a PCI Card. PCI cards can not be used in Laptops.
