"Authorities seek to question The Game in relation to a shooting in front
of Hot 97's offices on Monday. According to reports, police believe that
Game may be able to identify the gunman that left a 24-year-old Compton,
CA man wounded. In related news, Newsweek reports that federal authorities
have launched a sweeping probe of the hip-hop industry."
This brings a lot of interest to me. I mean, the game being invovled in the shooting, or knowing who the shooter was is minor, still interesting. But Newsweek reporting authorities have launched a sweeping probe of the hip-hop industry is pretty much crazy to me. Also brings up an issue of the "hip hop police". It kind of angers me that it seems that the government is against hip hop, it truly seems like they will use anything as an excuse to make more of a negative portrayal of hip-hop. There is that old saying, "behind every great fortune is a great crime." I really don't see this type of prejudice towards any other industry, just wonderin why really?
