SPOILER:

IT was reality when you first think about it. You don't question it at all.

But then you get people that think he's still in a dream because he goes to the US and "everyone stares at him."

Also, Leo's kids are wearing the same outfits in the 'reality.'

Which is why people talk about it, not just the spinning thing.

^^ Everyone doesn't stare at him...

just the people that were on his team, but that was just acknowledging him, the rest of the people grabbing luggage n stuff don't stare....

the outfit thing i guess is the only argument...
the people i went to see the movie with r convinced thats he was dreaming, and all they kept saying was, IT WAS STILL SPINNNING!! it got me a litte irritated cuz so many things point to him NOT dreaming...

Spoiler yadda yadda, by now everyone should know were talking about the movie so fuck the spoiler shit.

i agree with you exrp, but what if that was his first level of dreaming, thats the only question i think is left

that's why i quoted that everyone stares at him.

The other legit argument regarding the children is, we do not know how long he has been gone from his children. So, people argue that It had to of been a dream because his kids sounded older on the phone.

How can anyone not talk about this GREAT FILM?

I think it's the best movie since Dark Knight.

SPOILERS:

With the ending, I feel like he Nolan left it open for a sequel because it left it unexplained, imo.
You couldn't tell if he was in a reality or still a dream by fact because the thing didn't stop spinning, nor did it keep showing if it stopped or not. It's almost as if he didn't care, like he was happy with THAT 'reality,' because he got to see his children. Does that mean that it's possible his wife was right and he was dreaming, since it didn't stop?

There is many more I like to add, but I'm quite tired and go to work. It was a long day. I'm looking forward to the responses. *Cough* SNOWMAN! ;)

I'm sure, If DP is a man, he'd of seen this. This is like the twilight for men, mothafucka.

148 minutes.

The movie was pretty good, maybe I'm not in the hype like everyone else, I saw the movie opening day and it was pretty good...that's about it. Nothing to go home and write to your mom about.

Maybe it's just me.
Nope, I feel the same way. I knew the chinese guy at the beginning was the the same chinese guy they are trying to steal from by about halfway through. Once I saw that it was clear everything was going to turn out ok.

You serious? Man I havent had my mind blown like that since the Matrix. I left totally questioning my reality and perception.

You serious? I haven't had my mind blown since I was a kid. I have serious lack of imagination though.

I just saw it yesterday night (finally!).

So I think that the end was reality because:
- he got to see his kids' faces, something he wasn't able to do when he was dreaming
- he woke up in the plane and Saito was back to his young self
- the thing that was spinning was losing balance towards the end (but of course they won't let you see it fall because it'd make it so clear for everyone that it was reality)

i absolutely loved the movie. pure brilliance! and i know the ending is open for a sequel, but i'd rather they leave as it is and don't ruin it by making it a franchise.

I just saw it today.

Something you should notice, Leo's character always has his wedding ring when he's in the dream worlds, when he's in reality, it's off. It was off at the final scene, so that's a clue for it being real.

On the other hand, it's possible that it is fake. For example, the kids motions, and didn't age much, nor were the clothes they were wearing. Keep in mind also, that spinning totem wasn't Leo's totem, he just adopted it from his dead wife, so he doesn't know the exact feeling of it like she would. So, when he spins it, he doesn't know the weight of it, or the feel. He just spins it and hopes it stops.

I don't think the ending mattered if it was real or fake. The whole idea was that Leo's guilt was eating him alive in the reality, and within his dreams. The end whether is was a dream or not, didn't matter - all that mattered is that he was able to live with his decision to incept an idea into his wife's head.. That's why when he spins the totem, he just walks away from it. It doesn't matter to him if it's a dream or not.

There are some other things I noticed, but I'm going to have to see it again. Either way, brilliant film, each actor played their role impeccably. A+

It's futile to discuss whether ending was real or not when no one's going to bring up a new point that isn't in the IMDB FAQ pages, lol.

This was good movie, I couldn't believe reading one reviewer claiming it's a horrible script. Instant favorite for me.

SPOILER

If you stay after the credits of the movie... it shows the totem fall over. It's official - it's all real.

I was told that by a friend. I stay at the end of the credits, when I know to expect something. lol. I did it for Ironman 2 and Cloverfield :)

^i think once for The Simpsons cause I knew Maggie was going to speak.

But apart that know. Maybe I should start. I'm missing all kinds apparently!
