Those pylons are rare though. Most of our electricity infrastructure is underground. Green fields for pylons are rare in London Town. My friend is getting engaged to a girl from Seattle, her friends came over. They fucking loved London. Know why? It fucking rocks...!

years since i was there last (and at that age didnt pay attention to road signs).

you can get good deals on electricals at shops called currys, pc world, comet. i think staples are good but a little more expensive. its mainly for office supplies. but you cant go wrong with the first three - these shops are found nationwide and so they are a reliable and legitmate retailer. ASDA do some good deals from time to time. Tesco is one of their main competitors so its worth looking there too. but those are supermarket chains and so their main focus is on groceries, as well as clothing and entertainment.

i would say google a few manchester united bars. they should be located not too far away from old trafford, usually some societies and club supporters members meet up in certain pubs and you should be able to find this info online. should be too hard to find, even if you look around manchester.

Small world!! After my older brother graduated with his degree in medicine from Russia, he interned at Tenwek Hospital . I think that was about two years ago. He did carry out plenty of c-sections so there might be a chance that they crossed paths. Good for him, it would be a shame to come to Kenya and not visit the Mara.

I was ambiguous in my post. For my MA course, I compared the total cost of studying for it in the UK, and the total cost of studying for it in Australia. UK turned out to be a cheaper option, not based on cost of living but cost on my pocket. I don't have plenty of financial backing but my visa allows me to work a max of 20 hours a week. Minimum wage by Oct, (according to the website you provided & thanks for that) will be about £6 per hour. The game changer is accommodation. If I get to stay in the Uni post grad housing, I'll be bill (heating, water, electricity & gas) free. If not, I'll have to be paying up to some grouchy landlord every month. I have to wait till the 17th of next month to know if my housing application is successful.

I'm familiar with Parklands, its more of a night spot than a day spot. Turi (if it's St Andrew's School) is way out of Nairobi. It was my rival school when I was in high school. It's also the only school in Kenya with an airstrip and a helicopter landing pad dedicated to parents and students to use.

I've heard of 'Associated Construction' but, that's only coz they place bids for road construction tenders, which is big business this part of the world.

Which is the best 3G network to subscribe to? 'Best' in this case means subscribers don't get charged high rates for making out of network calls. Free data would be a plus. What are the post pay plans like? Finally, what do you like the most about your phone network?

Play.com and Amazon.co.uk are very useful too. If you're in an airport and you have time, check out World Duty Free, Dixons Electricals which is owned by the same group as PC World and Currys. Theyre sister companies so they have similar pricing on their products.

Im on a sim-only contract with T-mobile. For £10 a month i get 300 minutes, 300 texts and Unlimited Internet (1GB) per month. That is because I managed to get it cheaper because of being a customer of theirs for 2 years prior to extending it. The great thing with T-Mobile is that if you go over your data allowance, you will NEVER be charged more than the monthly fee that you already pay. not a penny more.
As T-mobile and Orange are about to merge together, you can share the reception signal from both networks.

I think their pricing and service are pretty competitive, so you should be able to get a good deal here. They also have some good international deals if you wish to add them to your phone line.

3, virgin mobile, tesco mobile (from tesco superstores), and talk talk (from Carphone Warehouse) are pretty cheap - but thats because theyre not as major as the companies listed below - and so you might want to check out their websites and see how the 2G/3G reception is around the cheltenham map area.

The major networks here are O2, T-Mobile, Orange, Vodafone and 3.

LOL @ 1GB a month. Im glad I got T-Mobile to keep me on an indefinite Flext 40 plan, I couldn't live without the 10GB limit on that plan. I notice that none of their new contracts have any thing above 1GB (as far as i'm aware, there was none at the time of renewal), I stream music all day, everyday, watch a bunch of youtube vids and browse some websites. Id say a GB wouldnt last me a week.

Really? I sometimes manage to do close to 4 GB a month. Otherwise, around 2 GB, more or less. I do have Facebook, two email accounts, Reader, and GPS/weather apps set to push notifications or update every hour for weather and Reader. No streaming of music or video and no more tethering either. Wonder what i'm doing wrong.

I watch a movie over 3G about once a week while i'm in the car to London. I simultaniously stream music while using video chat (all though i dont have a front facing camera so I just chat) everyday.

I do have wifi at home, but I mainly use my phone when i'm outside, which is alot of the time.

vodafone have a deal with BT where you can have 250MB of vodafone 3g data and 1GB of BT Openzone data through their hotspot locations... of course the costs vary with the different limits in data allowance.

speaking from experience, i've never had a problem with t-mobile. i don't use mobile internet as heavily anymore. similar to masta, i leave my phone on 2G most of the time. i rarely keep it on 3G signal.

yeah, well. I check the weather and news almost everyday with my phone and that uses up less than 100kb.
However I did my math and found out that while streaming movies or music it's possible to use up 1gb within a few days, I just never do it over gprs. I reached 300mb over wifi with internet radio over night. However I wouldn't use up 1gb even if I had no wifi even though I go online with my phone quite often. It's just that there are usually free wifi hotspots in range.
