Nah.. It was her responsibility since she was an employee their.. shes not supposed to be "distracted" while working.

I wouldnt worry too much about it Lii... Yea, I guess theirs a chance she could sue you, but I doubt it'll come to that. And if it does, i'm sure her parents would sue the establishment before they go to you. Just look for another job.

rahim, i couldnt really say without wanting to defend myself but the bottom line is that i was just being careless. it didnt occur to me to check her id, i wasnt holding back

pella, i said it before but maybe u didnt read it, i couldnt lie because there are security cameras all around, in the reception booth and where people walk in when i serve them so if i lied and they saw the tape back (bcuz they wanted to see how she entered, like if she snuck or pushed her way in or was aggressive etc...) and didnt see me checking, i think id be in more trouble

fataldawg, yeah i think the club will suffer more than i will or atleast first before i do. it doesnt make me feel that much better because i still feel guilty, but i feel better knowing it wont destroy me (financially) i guess ill see in the next week tho

The only bad thing that I do see about you lii is that when you apply for other jobs they will ask you for the reason you left your previous job and you will have to write down, "Was fired for not following guidlines." Looks real bad if you want a good job down the road.

Naw she should be ok since she was only their for 2 days.. I just wouldnt mention anything on my next job interview and say that your last job was the one before that one.

^Yeah as for me if I want to apply with law enforcement, I have to put every single job I had no matter how long I had it. It looks real bad if you've been fired or left your job without notice. I didn't know it was 2 days so yeah keep it on the low low

dont say anythingyou lost your job and that should be it. dont take calls from them and avoid any letters. i once sprayed tear gas into the air conditioner of a night club with a friend as was caught. we got into a FIGHT with the managers, then when released they sent us a letter saying that we owed 4500 bucks for damages..we threw it in the trash and avoided them..havent head from them since..and that was in 2002..screw 'em kid, you live you learn..it may feel like the worst is yet to come, but trust me..the worst part is over

The club will be fined for letting in a minor not a biggie and also look at the clubs history if this kind of incident has happened, if so they might lose their license. I would really worry if the parents sue you and the club for letting in a minor without checking an ID.

Yeah thats what came to my mind when reading this. Sure there is responsibility that the club and lii should take but what about the girl... technically it was her who was breaking the law. Then again as minors they arent capable of comprehending the consequences of their actions in the eyes of the law, so its up to others who know better to keep them "safe".

It's a messed up situation lii, but it will blow over. You'll find another job. If you have to pay a fine, dont worry, it's only money. In a way it might help you out as you'll probably be heaps more careful on the job in the future.
