My aunt became an aunt when she was lik...uhm....three or something? Actually, she was an aunt the day she was born, because my brother and sister are both older than her, but she's still their aunt.

Congratulations man, maybe in poland your an uncle but in the rest of the world she's your second cousin, but as your an only child i suppose that does make a big difference, I have 3 nieces an 2 nephews from the ages 4 to 17.

WTF? Ermm.... Yeah I am an Uncle, Polish tradition states I am because she is my first cousin (along with her brother) and I am an only child. Thus we call each other brother and sister and I am this baby's uncle as far as anyone in Poland and she is concerned.

And frankly, how dare you try to tell me how my family unit works.

My mums polish, she's also an only child but she does not call her polish cousins brother an sister, I do understand where your coming from though.

ofcourse he is an uncle. in the english language uncle is used as a term of endearment from children to older people, as well as the more known literal meaning. in Sub-continental culture everyone who is older than you is an uncle
