If you weren't born in the 80's... + weed potency

If you weren't born in the 80's...

Not drastically, and those new methods largely serve to increase crop size and productivity, not potency. The average weed going around is grown the same way it was back in the 70s with the same effects.
i would dare say yes, drastic would be the word to use.

by today's standards weed of the 70's was largely ditchweed, whereas thanks to the legal climate almost all commercial weed is indoor or otherwise attended to (with pesticides, herbicides, grooming, etc). the potency is simply a non-issue for contention for me, since i know friends' parents who used to be pot heads then and still are now, and they can't stop chewing your ear off about how the game is nothing like it used to be. i've also had patients substantiate the same claims when i was doing that sort of psychotherapy, and many would discuss how what used to be a benign habit turned into a full fledged addiction.

fact of the matter is that even today's schwag is more potent and highly more abuse-able than anything that used to literally be sold by the sack and not a precise weight in grams.

consider that in the 70's genetics were a non-issue, yet today any given frat boy can tell you the genetic lineage of whatever strain he is pushing.
