If you weren't born in the -end of- 70's or in the 80's.. when would you want to be born instead...

I was born in 1986... but god fucking knows I should have been born in 1955-1960 so i could have been 18 in the 1970's! I love the music, the simple life, the high times(when pot wasn't full of THC like it is now), etc... :fury:


God i'm fucking born in the wrong era.

the potency is what it all seems to be about these days, and gone is the ability to literally smoke an ounce in one day. times were different, and people weren't trying to get completely smashed with pot like they do now. i have seen stats comparing the weed of the 70's to now and the potency grew from 1 or 2 percent thc to excesses of 10 percent.

That era sounds good for me too. I would have grown up in Tito's days and by now, I'd either be a war criminal or a war profiteer. Now, I'm neither.

I really like to smoke natural weed... it gets you high enough to feel nice, but not smashed like today's weed is.

but enough bullshitting. too be realistic, i'd take the 1960's and just be some drug dealing draft dodger.

I thought you would mention the potency of weed. Actually, I've seen stats to suggest the weed now is 10 to 20 times stronger than the 70s.

Personally I don't agree with it, those types of tests aren't very controlled as the strength of weed is dependent on source and strain, so its all subjective.

Plus were it true, it means weed now much we 50 times as strong as it was in the 60's. Personally I don't think weed is THAT strong nowadays, had it been 50 times weaker in the 60s it just wouldn't have done shit, and we know it fucked up a lot of people back then!

In my opinion its just easy to get better weed nowdays, but hell if you want to smoke weak pot holla at me I'll sell you some shit no one else wants to smoke and you can pretend you're in the 70s.

Young man? I'm older than you, and a whole lot more mature for that matter. I don't sell weed, nor do I smoke it. If you think that is the case and if it were true it would be ammunition to somehow belittle me, let me remind you you're the one who wishes he was born 40 years earlier just so you could smoke what you believe to be weaker marijuana.

This means that you're either an extreme pot head and would go so far as to let it dictate your era of existance, or you wish you were a pot head but you just can't handle the potency of the product. Either option is not particularly admirable.

I'm happy with when I was born because I enjoy my life. Hindsight offers us the chance to see that every era was fucked up in some ways, and because I already know how that time panned out I have no wish to live there. I like the unknown of now, and if I did have to choose a different era, if anything I would choose a time in the future.
