If you had to ..

German is not as gentle as Dutch...

Deutschland über alles<<trying saying that with a German accent so everyone knows ur speaking German and not French..

German makes me puke...

How is Dutch ''a hodgepodge version of German and English''?

Although to give it some credit, Dutch is the closest living language to English (excluding Fresian) ;)

Dutch gentle? Lmao. Dutch is also known as Low Franconian i.e. it's essentially derived from German in the same way Italian is from Latin. Over the years it's also picked up many influences from English (which is another Germanic language). When listening to it, it just sounds like a horrible admixture.

Depends where you go. You're situated up North, there the Germans have a different accent to the Bavaria/Austrian one, which IMO is a lot nicer sounding.

France. I havent been there, but I think I would like it. I like the idea of the culture, the history and perhaps an air of sophistication that we just do not have in Australia.
