Ps. Yes, you're right. I'm writing a modern day cinderella story and I need some brainstorm ideas here.

Reverse the rolls, let it be like a boy from the hood meets a rich girl, and his friends don't want him to try and talk to her because she's not "from the hood" so they want him to date a girl from around their block. At the same time, his best friend who was the main one telling him not to try and get with the girl is trying to get with her himself.

Yeah, the thing is, it needs to have characteristics of the usual Cinderella stories such as: Nature of Kinship, ordinary powers, search for destiny, connection between wish and fulfillment, sense of destiny, and transformation.

So incorporate all of that into the plot, lol, i'm sure it can be done, i'd try to do it now, but i'm supposed to be writing a paper myself,

Well, Cinders was rich and then her dad died and she moved with her stepmom who treated her like crap, right? And her fairy godmother helped her find her happy ending through the prince.

So, here's the modern one.

Cindy was rich because her daddy was a hot shot lawyer, he suffered a stroke from eating too much McDonald's and she went to live with her stepmom who was his 22yr old paralegal. The stepmom didn't like Cindy because she was prettier than her and they were almost the same age. So she treated Cindy like crap. Cindy's mentor at her university helped Cindy get hooked up with this sexy guy who just finished his masters and they lived happily ever after, add more details, lol

Ginger (Cinderella) is a rundown hoe who was forced into the business through her crack addiction. Because she needs the money to appease her craving, shes' held under the power of her wicked pimp, who treats her like shit because his other hoes don't have that crackwhore look. They're pretty fine actually. So he slaps her around a lot and tells her she's an ugly ass bitch. But one day DMX picks her up, and he knows a little something about crack so he recognizes her problem right away. After getting her high and sheep fucking her all night, she runs away but leaves her glass crack pipe behind. After checking all the crackhouses in NYC, he finally finds the hoe who recognizes the glass crack pipe and he takes her to the clinic where she kicks her habit and they fall in love. She then gets the courage to tell him that her pimp used to beat and rape her, so DMX and his mans and them hunt the pimp down and cap his ass.

DMX and Ginger live happily ever after.
