Seems like this year has been kind of beef free. I mean we have the 50 vs. Joe and internal Dipset or G Unit conflicts but thats all mild and old.

I'd like a new rivalry. I mean along the lines of Ja and 50, where it was personal, but stayed relatively harmless, but the beef had feeling and emotion behind it and made music interesting. The beef now is so old or manufactured.

I mean Joe and 50 is really a joke beef to me, its really stale and boring.

I dont want anyone to get hurt, but I want some fire back in the music man. I miss drama and conflict that actually inspired artists to be better than one another.

i'd kinda like to see eminem get back into a beef, only this time, it'd be nice to see him go up against a formidable opponent. most of his beefs were against weak ass rappers; everlast, benzino, moby??? ja rule was fake as hell too, glad he's gone. the game vs. g-unit got old a long time ago.

Well beef has been overplayed. As soon as people discovered that beef makes the sells go up they started fabricating beefs and overplaying a situation.

Thats what grew the listeners tired. I gotta admit though some great music and diss songs came out of genuine beef but i am tired of hearing beef records. They went too far with every rapper having beef with someone and releasing 60 million beef mixtapes that were garbage.

On a side note, if Lil Wayne decides to answer the jabs that the clipse threw at him on a couple of songs, that would be an interesting beef.

beef is no fun unless somebody dies from it once in a while to keep it from being trivial. As superficial as it may sound it's completely true.

I like the competitive aspect of hip hop. "Beef" can be dope and it can be whack. Mostly whack though. I also don't wanna see anyone get hurt, but I love battles. That's my favorite thing about hip hop.

Problem is I dont think the Clipse are main stream enough for it to really count, thats why he doesnt reply, because most of his fanbase dont even know what was said.

We don't know why Lil Wayne didn't reply and I don't think we can know the reason.

I'm not sure what "mainstream" has to do with beef. Pusha T and Malice are lyrical monsters and Lil Weezy is ah, well, an unconventional lyrical monster, let's put it that way. I think the beef would lead to awesome records by both parties. I mean, did you hear the diss they threw at him? Killer shit.

To be honest, I actually havent heard it.

Beef motivates rappers to get better because they dont want to loose their fan base but if the disses dont touch that fanbase there is no risk and they can either throw some subliminals and leave it or just ignore it do you know what I mean? Theres no risk involved, and conflict is only good if there is some risk to help motivate those involved.

i just dont think wayne has it in him to write a good diss track, he can freestyle and his shit is prefect [like knuck if you buck freestyle is quite possibly the best freestyle ive ever heard] but then when he writes shit down and records it, its a bunch of dumbed down similes and punchlines that say he's "clean as a virgin in detergent and shit"

Oh, I see what you mean. I don't know, it's really odd to me that the shots they threw at Weezy haven't really made any internet headlines.

I don't have the link to the track but,

sorry but I don't respect who you applaudin
lil nigga flow but his metaphors is borin
don't make me turn daddy's little girl to orphan
that would mean I'd have to kill Baby like abortion

You do know his "freestyles" are pre-written? But yea, that song's tight. "I'm outstanding like standing outside up in the twister and walking undamaged"

A real freestyle by Weezy is something like the Tim Westwood freestyle on the recent Lil Wayne and Friends 3 mixtape.

yeah I want some beef too, and I mean something like Yukmouth vs. the Game :D

Game ova 2 = Hit em up if it comes to punchlines and it's video was even better. I'd say more - it was a classic video. I'd love to see Yuk slashing some ass again.

btw. I LOVE this video:
that's what's beef imo
