I Survived The Gas Epidemic

Two and a half weeks ago I payed for gas at $2.95. It was the most I had ever payed for gas and the total was $67.00. I told myself I would conserve because there is no way I'm paying over $3.00 for gas. For the entire summer I made a pledge that I would ride a bike if I had to. I made it. I survived. Gas is finally going back down, just as my tank was getting low. Last night I payed $2.83 and I can see that it is still going down.

So, has anyone here payed over $3.00? I pity the fool.

PS: What is the point of the fractioned number!??! It's always a certain amount, 9/10. SOMEONE EXPLAIN THAT!

My car is reccomended for super unleaded so i've been payin over 3 dollars for a while, the highest i got was to 3.63. No big deal though.
Good job on the bike thing, a lot of people are doin that, or buyin those annoying ass scooters.

I survived the epidemic as well:

2 weeks ago? I heard the prices were goin up, so I sped down to the local station and filled up as much as I could at 2.65. The next day it went up to 3 bucks. Since then I've driven sparingly. Today I thought my gauge was broken because I couldn't believe I had much left. But guess what happened? Another local station had a "customer appreciation" day, where the price was 2.59! I gassed up there, filled 3 gas tanks, and also got two free sandwiches. Pretty good day :thumb:
